"A key factor that allows us to turn adversity into an advantage is the extent to which we fully explore our thoughts and feelings surrounding the event." Our ability to identify our defense mechanisms and dive into our inner world will lead the way to how we can embrace life after a life-changing event as COVID-19. As mention in the article people who experience PTG would prefer not to endure trauma in their life if they can choose to, so this is not about romanticizing trauma but to embrace and accept it's an inevitable part of life. Often people who endured trauma feel surprised when experiencing a positive side effect. The elements of PTG reminds us of the resilience of human nature, trauma is one of the most psychological alliterating and defining events a person can endure, yet we can contemplate transformation out it.
